The Media Impact Project (MIP) at the University of Southern California’s Norman Lear Center recently highlighted the updated Impact Pack, our media strategy deck designed to help funders, makers and researchers plan and evaluate their engagement strategies. The latest deck includes two new cards: “trust” and “collaboration.”  Dot Connector’s Jessica Clark created the Impact Pack while serving as a Senior Fellow at MIP in 2016.

MIP’s Laura Trotta Valenti describes the deck as tool that can be “flexible and reflect the many different creative approaches that media makers are taking to draw communities into issues.”

The two new cards were added in summer 2017 to reflect the trust issues emerging between readers and media outlets and the usefulness of developing partnerships in the impact strategy process. MIP also produced a short how-to video on how to use the cards.
