Dot Connector associate Mark Glaser has been writing reports about the state of local news in America for Knight Foundation’s Trust, Media & Democracy, focused on helping bring in more local and national funding to the field. Dot Connector has also created a special Civic Bright Spots map, highlighting local news grantees who are making a difference in their communities. The map has served as a kind of counter-programming for the proliferation of news deserts maps.
