We’re excited to be sponsoring the 2015 #dareconf USA May 19 and 20 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. This event focuses on the human side of design, with speakers addressing the facilitation, coaching, listening and collaboration techniques that are essential for creating compelling experiences and productions. (Watch videos of speakers from last year’s London event here.)
Here at Dot Connector Studio, we’re particularly interested in this subject matter because people are at the heart of everything we do. When collaborating with our partners and clients to develop media productions and events, we use design thinking principles that prioritize user experiences and human connections.
We’re especially excited that after three events in London, the very first USA #dareconf is taking place in our home city of Philadelphia, where there is a thriving community of designers, design-thinkers, and collaborative cross-disciplinary projects that emphasize the human side of tech—as evidenced by academic programs like The Design for Social Impact program at the University of the Arts and the Strategic Design MBA program at Philadelphia University, design thinking firms like fellow #dareconf sponsor Think Brownstone, and the proliferation of co-working spaces that bring folks together from all sectors – like Impact Hub, Indy Hall, and our very own co-working space, CultureWorks.
Register for #dareconf USA here, and if you can’t attend, look for Jessica’s live tweets during the conference at @beyondbroadcast.
